Jazzmen from all over the world will come to Kursk

The JazzProvince festival starts in late October.

The first concert will take place in Moscow. On November 2, jazz will be played in Kursk.

JazzProvince is the only traveling festival in Russia in which both acclaimed masters of world  jazz and bright young musicians from different cities and countries take part.

The festival owes its birth to Kursk jazz pianist Leonid Vintskevich. The XVIII Jazz Festival this year has received the support of the embassies of America, Poland and the Netherlands.

As in previous years  JazzProvince will engage new and big names. Among them the American saxophonist, one of the world's most famous musicians and multiple Grammy Award winner Bill Evans. The musician has played with such stars of the world of jazz as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Mick Jagger and others. At concerts of the festival Bill Evans will perform with his band SOULGRASS.

One more participant will be one of the oldest bands in Russia – the orchestra of jazz music named after Oleg Lundstrem. On the stage of the festival the well-known to the people of Kursk musicians will also apppear. The universal  jazz drummer Joel Taylor will perform as well as   well-known bassist Kip Reed.

JazzProvince will open a lot of new names, as the organizaers promise. In addition, from November 1, master classes will start.
